John J. Martin Jr. is a Certified Public Accountant as well as an Attorney. His areas of concentration include estate planning, corporate law, probate administration, as well as residential and commercial real estate and divorce law. Upon graduation from college, John joined the national accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand. That experience enabled him to obtain his C.P.A. credentials. Later, while attending law school at night, he was employed by the Bank of New England-West as an Assistant Vice President where he managed the Bank’s Internal Audit Department.

William E. Martin is a 1987 graduate of Boston College Law School. His areas of concentration include personal injury, medical malpractice and business litigation, commercial and residential real estate, creditors’ rights and bankruptcy law. Bill is a member of the Board of Directors of the Boys’ and Girls’ Club of the Berkshires, Inc. and is a past member of the Western Regional Committee of the Judicial Nominating Council. Bill is a past member of the Town of Richmond’s Finance Committee and was the Co-Chair of Richmond’s School Building Committee. He is a past Member of the Board of Directors of Girls, Inc. and served as its Treasurer and President.

After graduation from Boston College Law School in 1987, Bill became an associate with the Boston law firm of Choate, Hall & Stewart. There he was a member of the Real Estate and Bankruptcy Departments, as well as the firm’s Real Estate Workout Group. Since returning to Berkshire County in 1991, Bill has gained significant civil litigation experience in both the District and Superior Courts. Since returning to the Berkshires, Bill has represented many clients in serious personal injury claims, including automobile accidents, medical malpractice and product liability claims. Bill has recovered over $5 million dollars for his clients in recent years.

Tom Martin is an associate with Martin & Oliveira, LLP. His areas of concentration include residential and commercial real estate, landlord/tenant matters, corporate law, creditor’s collections and bankruptcy law. He graduated from Roger Williams University School of Law.

Tom joins the Firm with two years experience as a law clerk at Harmon Law Offices in Newton, Massachusetts. In his last year of law school, he worked for the Providence Law Department as a Student Practitioner. These past opportunities have given him valuable experiences which he now brings to his current practice.

Tom graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is a Member of the Board of Directors of Berkshire County Kids’ Place as well as a Member of the Berkshire Young Professionals.

Tom resides in Pittsfield with his wife the former Amanda Dorney.

Michael Martin joined the firm as an associate in January, 2014. His principal areas of practice are civil and personal injury litigation with a specialization in land use and zoning disputes. Prior to joining the firm, he was a law clerk to the Hon. Karyn Scheier, Former Chief Justice of the Massachusetts Land Court. Notably, while in law school, Michael served as an intern with the Suffolk County Probate and Family Court and as a student attorney in the schools community development clinic, which assisted non-profit corporations and small business in the South Coast of Massachusetts. Michael received a J.D., magna cum laude, in 2012 from University of Massachusetts School of Law, and a B.S. in Finance, with a History minor, from Roger Williams University, in 2009.
